The source of Chocolate is the Theobroma cacao tree native to Central and South America.
Dark chocolate extracts (Cacao extract) have been shown to improve blood flow to the skin, improve skin hydration, decrease skin roughness, and lessen skin inflammation and redness.
Its high anti-oxidant level makes this a skin beneficial “Superfruit”. The cocoa flavinoids within chocolate are anti-oxidant components. Flavinoids help improve the look and health of skin. Providing UV protection, reducing stress hormones, which can lessen lines and wrinkles in the skin. Skin hydration and thickness are also improved. Dark chocolate in a highly concentrated extract is the best source of these flavinoids and is the source used within the Tampa bay Tan product line
